Well, as I saw him on stage and felt some energy from him, I must say he definitely shouldn't stop playing, because I could see so well that music is his element, really. That is his way. And I'm sure he won't leave it.

He should run his store and take as much time as he needs to find what he wants to do for the rest of his life. Doing the same job for over this long period of time one needs to relax and not worry about anything and just live life one day at a time.

I also believe that. It's in his soul, his very being....so even tho he is leaving the stage *for now* he can't stop playing, it's not in him to stop. His guitar is part of him, an appendage if you will.

Tanker, don't be so serious....this was just for fun. And yes of course MJ will relax for awhile. But like I said above, *for now* cuz he will get the heebie jeebies if he relaxes too long. I can just see him bouncing off the walls needing to go out on stage to perform for his fans again!! Ya can't keep a good man/guitar player down babies!!!

But this is supposed to be just for fun....not so serious. And yes, I have even commented to him about him having been in Scorps more than half his life. I feel I know full well what this is doing to him and maybe even know to some extent that he is a combination of sad and pissed. Who knows? I just thot that it would be a fun topic to "give him ideas" just for the hell of it. And maybe someday soon, we will know what he is going to do to keep him around in our world with his guitar playing and not just his store.

I agree with diego, he's a great guitarist but in Scorpions his skill is limitated to what was required for the band to work, what many of you called the "Scorpions Sound".
He is a versatile player, I see him as a fine blueser and I would be curious to see some projects like the ones Gary Moore did in the past... He shouldn't stop performing, I believe we will se "The Dark Side of Matthias" ( ) in his solo projects, if he will continue with music.

Something like moore that's a great idea, some blues would be just perfect
