Variety Of Guitars On The Final Sting Tour

Variety Of Guitars On The Final Sting Tour

Unread postby Thomas » April 2nd, 2012, 9:44 pm

How about this simple request ..
How about a wider range in variety of guitars from Rudy and Matthias ?
Id like to see Rudys Double neck V or His clear V again ..
And Maybe Matthias has some extra guitars the public would love to see ..

I also am bewildered that ppl keep opening up setlist topics!! grrrr

Anyway, when MJ had his OTHER website, it showed his "private" collection!! If he were to play a different guitar in each city, he would still not be thru them all! With that said, his invention of the Mastercaster can be bought in Pure White or this awesome customized blue, etc. So he can still use his brilliant invention on stage and yet change up the colors!! THAT would be awesome!! BTW, does he even play the Candy Apple Red on stage anymore? I also don't see the Anca Guitars played in the shows! Those are simply amazing Explorer prototypes that Sorin Anca has made for MJ Guitars. Matthias did play the SITT prototype last year, one time I believe! Beautiful guitar!!

Also, I would love to see more of the Flying Vees that my good friend Paul Gagne of In Trance has made for Rudolf, on stage. Such as the VW one and others he has given him throughout the years. Even dating back to the 80's!!! Where are those?
Thx Tom for this topic! Nice change!

Yes like beating a dead horse, but the fans are screaming out for a change and to just outright not listen and claim you are doing this last leg for all the lifelong fans, well that is disingenuous. From the first two French shows, it's all just more of the same and evident the band is NOT listening. Fans who were in the prime of their lives in their 30's and loving the Scorpions should continue to expect a complete disassociation of the band's music between the years of 1992-2007. real shame

Okaaayyy, back to talking about guitars! There are too many other topics to hash the setlist out over!! Please?

I agree about Matthias bringing out his Black Explorer or what about his "trouble" guitar for a bit of nostalgic goody!! :P

I couldn't more agree with you Tom.
These millions of set-topics make me absolutely sick.
Okay, it would be great of hearing other songs also than you hear, but basicly (evenif you complain about the set always), you inmediately buy your tics, book your hotelrooms, etc, as you can, yes?
Where is the problem then?
I can't wait for the Munich gig.
I exactly know, I will do enjoy the show from the very first moment to the very last one, won't care the set, will sing with the band from the first sound to the last one.

I don't know Gianluca, but I don't feel "betrayed" by the guys at all. :)

If you feel betrayed, why do you spare your money for concerttics, and whole trips for the Scorpions?
Just because you are among the very first fans to organize your trip.
Klaus-THE SPECIAL ONE,
Rudolf-THE WISE ONE,
Matthias-THE COOL ONE,
Pawe-THE SIMPLE ONE,
James-THE CRAZY ONE,
The Scorpions are THE NICEST GUYS.

:o That would be awesome! It's too bad that'll never happen...I read somewhere that nowadays a guitar coming in and leaving the U.S. is inspected and if you dont have the documentation stating what kind of wood it is or something that they can take it...Don't know how true it is but if I was him I wouldn't even risk it lol

Just to clarify one point...

More guitars -> more equipement -> trucks weight more -> more petrol used -> more expenses -> tickets cost more... :?:
Even crematoria need international affairs managers..

+ million Gabi!
The most important thing for me in Scorps shows is the enegry, the atmosphere of it!+ of cousre, meeting fos friends, those positive emotions I'll get from the beginning till the very end of the show! And I also don't care, even if they would play only WOC or SLY all the show long, still I would enjoy it! :)

Galya...  yep you really see the subjects from the practical and economical point of view  - of course it's an important thing too...but will this extra weight be really so big to influence much on tickets' cost?
Best wishes, Nadya

It's great to be here, to see you all!

Just saw the youtube video of In Trance at Saint Etienne France this week. Great job guys. A good change to the set list and sounded great! Since I'm *** about it, wanted to acknowledge a good change and be fair. Since you've added that, please add something from the late 90's-early 00's.

Depends on the number of guitars they will add to their luggage
But for real, if they don't have to hire an additional truck for all these guitars, the price won't change. And even if they do (which is very unlikely), the change won't be dramatic. :)

Mike i agree 10000% about the setlist change .. ive been a fan since the 70s ..
I would like to hear other songs also .. even from Unbreakable or HH1 ..
But theres no need for ppl to open multiple topics here of the same subject ..
Im sure the band has read the original topic and are reading it as it grows ..
Its the same as when one of the guys has a birthday .. Too many topics .. it makes me think ppl dont think the guys know how to read ..
I only added this for some change ...
