Hello again friends!!! some of you may already know this, but I didn't see it posted already, so I want to say that Herman Rarebell is coming out with a new book. An autobiography called "And speaking of Scorpions" which will be released this coming October. Herman said the book will be available in the U.S & Canada in English & you will be able to order it soon on his official site at http://www.hermanrarebell.com.

I am extremely excited to read this book & the book has been described as-a definitive history of the Scorpions. I forgot to ask if it was-My life as a Scorpion, just different because it will be in english, or if this is new all together, but either way, this will be in English & it will be a definite good read for us Scorps fans!!!!
I have the book cover, but I am having problems with shrinking it down to fit here & still look good, but it is on my FB status pic, if you want to see it...

Interesting...Herman can find a way to print his book into English, but Rudolf can't. Wow!

And speaking of....I wonder what his friends, the Scorps, will think of his letting out secrets. ha! It's already probably been gone over with a fine tooth comb by them and it will be so squeaky clean, we will think they are the Mr. Clean guys. Sorry, just havin a little fun! You know we aren't going to hear any juicies!!

Maha, Rudolf didn't write a Scorpions book, he wrote a Rudolf book. He already said that he didn't want to write a tell all, but a guru, yoga type book. And of course Herman won't write anything that the boys don't want us to know. Which will make for a very thin book.

It's going to be very close to the Dirt from Crue...Herman will be dishes about what happen backstage and in hotel rooms and in the studio and everything..it's going to be a must have for all Scorpions fans..even the people on this site that have become fans in the past couple years..maybe they will get an inside look at how amazing it was back in the 80's when the Scorps were on top of the world..

in fact i think it is funny/sad how the Scorpions can't release a DVD in our country anymore(last one being "A crazy world and other savage amusements" in 2002 and every studio CD from 1996 through 2007 was released about 3 months after the rest of the world got it and Rudy can't get a deal in north america but Herman can get a deal here..wow that should show people outside of America how popular Herman is in our country..

OOH i know all you people that have devoted the last 3 years of your life to the Scorps already knew that fact..

Wow! How did he get the okay from the rest to divulge this down and dirty stuff? I mean they are such private guys and IMHO are worried about their clean rep. I bet if a lot of the fans on here were to read this and find out how HUMAN they really were/are, they would be shocked. I mean after all, where did some of the words come from of some of their best stuff?? heheheh

I will say something absolutely frankly, I really think, and feel on this way:
I am absolutely not curious of their private things about the past, and present either.
I accept the fact that they have had many dirty stuff with groupies, due drugs, drink, etc.
I never am interested in the "dirty clothes" of celebs in bulvarpress either.
It is their privacy, and for me interesting in these things is a kinda perversity, so if the Hermannbook is really about it, I won't waste neither my money, nor my time to buy, and read it.
I prefer the "yoga guru"'s book to their deals in hotelrooms, and studios.
Yes, I like keeping the clean mitos about our boys instead of knowing what, and how they enjoy in bed.
It is not exciting for me at all, hoonestly.

Herman does not need anyones permission to publish a tell-all book. He's not in the band anymore and Amend has no control over Herman. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if Herman spills the beans on Amends dictatorship on the band.

As for the DVD's, two reasons. Amend and the band do not want to show how much they have fallen since those days, and second Amend does not want anything showing Herman and more so Francis. It's amazing as the years go by how this rumour about Francis gets worse with each passing year.

Well, what I was thinking Ted, was since Herman is still good friends with the Scorps 3, ESPECIALLY Matthias, that he would want to get their permission or okay on telling the dirty deeds of Scorpions, to remain good friends with them.
It's just amazing to me, how the "loyalty" or whatever you call it to Amend by the band, has been okay to bring down one of the greatest bands in rock history in America. Cuz they seem to be just as great overseas as ever. I mean 20,000 in Lebanon??? sheesh! I am glad, but here that would be a miracle.
As for Herman's book? I would buy it in a heartbeat. What good is being a fan of a band if you don't want to know their history and backstage antics, etc? It's all part of what made them what they are. Right? For instance, I wonder if MJ was always quite the jokester since he loves to be a goofball.

Herman wanted back in the band in 2007 right before humanity hour 1 and Amend said no and did not give Rudy or Klaus the choice. And Ted is 100% correct about the DVD's why would the band release WWL on DVD right now when this current version of band is not even on the same planet as that lineup. It would make the Scorps look so bad in 2011. Pick up WWL on CD and go out and buy one of the simplylive CD's from last years tour and you will know what i'm talking about. This current version is very good but that verison was excellent and put most bands to shame...

Cristy 20,000 in Lebanon is not a great accomplishment..how many bands play that country?? maybe 2 or 3 major acts in a year. Now how many major acts play Colorado or Washington DC in a year?? maybe 30 to 40. We are spoiled over here because we get shows every week. That is another reason the Scorps plays countries that get very few shows it makes them feel like rock stars. When they come over here they are just another rock band.

There is a bigest portion of good intention in a cancertumour than in your note.
I can accept, and respect Ted's point, because it has a kinda objectivity.
Finally, I also hate the huge mistery of the Francis-deal.

Hey Gabi,

I don't think there is anything vile or mean in what Scott said. He simply is saying that in countries like Lebanon rock shows are few and far between. So a big band coming by is a big event. So naturally the crowds are big. While in larger countries that get a bunch of shows it's not such a novelty anymore.


By the way, went back and listened to the Moscow 2010 soundboard recordings and boy does it sound pretty bad. Not the sound quality but the tightness of the band. Bum notes all over the place, sloppy bass playing and drums that sound off-beat. Surprised that King Amend puts up with the substance abuse use of these two hired guns.

Ya know what I get sick of? If sthg is misunderstood, instead of asking the person to explain themselves, which mostly it's simply a matter of non English speakers not getting what we are trying to put across; they would much rather attack. What would really be the NICE way to go about it, BEFORE you attack the person for their deviltry or whatever they are accused of, is ASK, freakin ASK them what they meant. Nine out of ten times, it would be exactly what this was. MISUNDERSTANDING!! GET A GRIP PPL!!

Thx Scott for your post. I had to laugh when you said that over in those countries they are rockstars, but here they are just another rock band. And actually due to the lack of promo and everything else, they are less than another rock band. We had our Summerfest this last weekend and I talked to a lot of musicians due to having 2 days of rock bands playing the park. Well, you know what I am going to say next. Only ONE person knew that Scorps still toured and had a recent album. And that doesn't even count towards ppl I talk to everyday that are surprised that Scorps were in Denver last year.
I am going to say sthg that is going to piss ppl off but if I can't voice my opinion then screw it. While it makes me sad that they are finally done and I won't be able to see them after next year, it's time. I can't imagine how their bodies feel, how Klaus' singing feels now. They all have battled injuries, esp MJ, in the last few years, Klaus has battled sickness.....it's time people!! It's like letting our pets go out of compassion, we need to let them go out of love and compassion. They are OLDER now, they can't do what they used to do. Be sad, but don't make them feel bad cuz they have decided to leave the stage. You young ppl can't begin to imagine what it's like to live in an older body, no matter how much Rudolf works out. It gets harder to heal and harder to get out there every nite. Why do you think they don't have dates for all of those months this year? Except for James, none of them are doing anything that we know of. Why do you think MJ doesn't email his fans anymore or show up at things that the others are at? Let them go! It's time!!!! Besides, they aren't known here anymore anyway and get just a few really good shows. Anyway, they started retiring from N.A. long before they announced it. IT'S TIME!
