Scorpions 2011-2012 US Tour

Michael Schenker was just interviewed in the latest Classic Rock magazine (Geddy Lee on the front). He commented that a Scorpions/MSG tour is being planned for the US during the summer of 2011. Let's hope this is true!!!!

Scott, either James was drunk when he told you that the boys aren't traveling to N. America this year or Michael is confused; since he is sober now, saying there is a plan for a tour here!!! Sooooo, who is right? DAMN!! If James is right, once again we have been screwed. Anyone notice that certain countries get it ALL?? Russia, France, Greece, even Brazil. While the one country directly and totally responsible for their infamy is the UNITED STATES!!!! Get a clue ppl, you KNOW there is discrimination here!! I wonder why we get told to bend over and take it all the time?

Only time will tell Cristy if this latest news from Michael is correct..Not sure about James being drunk..

Sigh.....Cristy, sometimes I read your posts and I wonder what happened to the happy, enthusiastic fan that joined us here several years ago, and was so happy to have found the site and rediscovered the band after a lengthy time away. Your posts now don't even seem like the same person that was here a few years ago. I wonder why you turned so bitter.....

One thing people do have to realize as well is...the bands Taxation. I don't know how it is in the EU, But when they play or sell cd's/merch here, they get taxed on their income...then they get taxed again in Germany. Couple that with the high costs of fuel and costs of catering, roadies, hotels ect...they are probably playing here out of the kindness of their heart. It sucks but its the truth. That's why i get so upset and pissed when people talk about pointless garbage or argue here. This place is a REPRESENTATION of the BAND ! If you had 50 to 100 people coming here a day...contributing to GOOD discussions, with links to their facebooks, other forums ect ect ect, the band would get WAY more exposure/attention.The way it is now: It can be bizarre if not downright toxic here sometimes !

You're right Mary, I used to be very happy. But this place with all the attacks and hate towards me has made me bitter. BUT also, I have seen more and more the way we are treated, which of course I didn't know when I first rediscovered them. We were promised a tour this year, we were promised a tour in 2009, we keep getting screwed outta the dates cuz of one person!! And believe me ppl, he rules over those guys more than you know and they have no choice. They are under contract. Also Mary, we at Scorpsnews were treated pretty *** by this same person, when we had such a great relationship with Azoff, thx to ME btw NOT anyone else who has tried to take that credit. (I am just proud of that is why I am mentioning it. )
I KNOW certain band members would love to come here to the States and yet they have to go with what is being dictated to them and Mary, I have gotten to know lots of ppl who are very involved in certain things with the band, knows them personally and I have been told stuff, etc etc that has made me bitter.
I wish I had remained innocent!!
Well, whatever happens, I will always always always be grateful and happy that I rediscovered this precious band. Thrilled that I met them many times, have become friends with MJ and run his Official page. Many great blessings have occurred and hopefully, I can continue to do the MJG stuff waaayyyy after the smoke has gone down for our boys.
Thank you for reminding me of the GOOD side of things, Mary. You rawk!

Well VH has made a number of statements about the lies that are going on in the media. Management tried to push a second leg on the band without them approving it. VH will be making up those dates in the Fall. They need to recharge their batteries.

Well you got to give VH some credit at least they are selling out arenas all across North america and when the tour is done they will have played over 80 shows here...The Scorps haven't played a combine 80 shows here in North Amerrica in the last 7 years..

Yeah it died in 2004..being an American band does help VH but it helps that they put the time into planning a full American tour..
