A few days ago i heard a cover of the song Fox on the run, apparently performed by the Scorpions. The strange thing is that the music was almost (if not exactly) the same than the original, but Klaus or somebody with a very similar voice was singin it in german, i guess. Does anybody know anything about this song?

I believe that the songs were done while the Scorpions were on tour with the band Sweet. The Scorpions went into the studio under the name "The Hunters" and recorded two songs, Action, and Fox on the run. They were both sung in german.

The Two songs were released as a 7" single called "The Hunters" Fuchs Gey Veron . Cat # 1c 006-41 102 on the colorit label.

This is sorta a sought after collectors piece, and could bring anywhere from $100.00 to $300.00 depending on condition.

There is however some CDR BOOTS of this single flowting around, and I have seen some sellers wanting $30.00 for those.

I knew about fox on the run and i've heard it many times...but what is this about the hunters??? I've never heard anything about this. Well...I guess you learn something new every day. Cool. Any more info on this??? I'd like to know more.

It´s a song from 75/76 called "Fuchs geh voran" and another song called "Aktion". The Scorpions played under the pseudonym "The hunters" and sang this 2 songs in german.

"Fuchs geh voran und lauf so schnell Du laufen kannst. Die Meute die Dich jagt die ist schon so nah dran. Fuchsi geh voran. Fuchsi Fuchs komm sei schlau geh in den Bau."

A few weeks ago they played a little clip in a chart show on TV. I can´t believed it when I heard it. That was the Scorpions??? Oh my god, what an old song!!!

It was released in 1975. It was the first record produced by Dieter Dierks.

Hello SkorpianBCN. I love Fox on the run by Sweet, that is a good song. I did not know that Scorpions have done this song. That is very cool and thanks so much for sharing this information with us.
