....the scorpions were known years&years before that song and did great tours before that.ok,it huppened to be a hit at the begginig of 90s....so what, they have so many songs to play...and if we start saying there can't be a scorpions gig without this or that...then they'll keep on playing the same songs until the end of time....we've listened all those songs at their previous 7 conserts in greece.i think we DESERVE SOMETHING MORE.
I said that about Wind of Change! You know, personally I don't mind whatever songs they play... But Wind of Change is one of their Trademarks. Imagine how many people know Wind of Change and they'll come to the gig to listen That song and some other ballads! Scorpions don't want to disappoint them as well Don't get me wrong, I'd like some other songs in the list (and I repeat that I don't care about which ones they're gonna be) but Scorpions try to do something to satisfy both sides (fans and listeners).
So if they don't play Wind of Change or Still Loving You, some may be disappointed (because they'll go there just to listen to those songs!). On the other hand, I (for example) will be satisfied no matter which songs they play. (Well... I've only seen them three times though. I may start getting bored after the 7th one).
As regards with the 70s... Okay, there are some nice songs but please, they can't play more than a couple of songs from that era in my opinion. He's a Woman - She's a Man, Speedy's Coming, We'll Burn the Sky, Riot of Your Time, Top of the Bill, In Trance, Pictured life, Catch your Train, Robot Man. I believe they should play 2 songs of them maximum.
Whatever... I think they're gonna play some songs they haven't played here though... As far as I can remember there was a slight change between the 1996 and 2001 setlists (2004's was almost identical to 2001, right?). So there's gotta be something new now as well

...wind of change a scorpions trademark??????????but the scorpions were known years and years before that song...to tell me that we'll burn the sky,in trance,he's a woman, speedy's coming, coming home,no one like you, dynamite, blackout, pictured life, fly to the rainbow as trademarks is ok and don't forget that those trademarks are not played so often as wind of change....but wind of change?????that impresses me!a good concert with a good set list satisfies everybody...but we don't have to listen everytime the same songs over and over because there might be somebody who knows only a couple of songs and expects to listen to them!!!this is unfair for the rest 99.9% of the fans who expect something more....don't you think so?i've seen them 10 times and when it comes for the encore i always know what to expect...after the gig i'm always huppy, but the next day when i realise that i've seen again the'same show'i'm mad.
i hope(but i don't expect a lot)that something will be changed this time or i'll be very very dissapointed...

I didn't say they were not known before Wind of Change. And of course they had dozens of trademark songs before that one. But well... Let me explain in more details what I mean.
There are three kinds of fans for every band

1. The maniac/fanatic supporters of the band
2. Those who like the genre in general, so they also like the band
3. Those who like other genres but also like the most known songs of the band.

Scorpions had many very well known songs before Wind of Change. But WOC was the single which sold the most copies, ever (I think it still holds the record)! So for the first type of fans, almost every song can be a trademark. For the second type, the most known songs in the rock world can be trademarks. But for the third type of fans their trademark is WOC. So that's why I'm saying that THE trademark is WOC. (I capitalized THE to emphasize on it, not to "shout").

And then another topic comes. "Do they have to play that song only for those ones?" In my opinion this depends on how many of them will be at the concert. Personally I think that they will be equally many as the diehard fans and the rockfans...

Anyway, I might be the one who's wrong. This doesn't lead to anywhere... We might have the chance to talk about it once we meet.

well,i agree with your last words....B U T you have always to remember that the majority of scorpions fans got into their music during the '80's when no wind of change was around.......DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY LOYAL SCORPIONS FANS HAVE BEEN ALL THOSE YEARS DISSAPOINTED BY THE SET LIST OF THE BAND????do you know how many fans and i am one of those had no one like you,or in trance,or fly to the rainbow as the first scorpions'song they ever heard and became fans of scorpions and hard rock?i had to travel to poland to listen finally no one like you and to germany to listen lovedrive......no i don't want to listen wind of change or ypu&i or even still loving you.....i've had enough....on the other hand we heard those songs one year ago.......WE DESERVE SOMETHING MORE......I INSIST......
