Just something about this whole project does not sit well. No denying the fans in Greece have always been great, but known more as a rocking crowd. And just which MTV did this? Certainly not MTV here. Does Greece have it's own and exclusive MTV separate from Europe? And how much were th ticket prices again? With the sad state of the economy in Greece, which I hear from many friends there, it' awful and many describe it as being as bad as post World War II Greece. How do you do such a show in Greece knowing most die-hard fans probably could not even afford to attend? I know most of my friends in Athens couldn't go. It's a bit unfair for a huge fan to have to choose between putting food on the table or going to the show. Now had this been a free show or one with super cheap tickets then I can see it as a great gesture by the band. But knowing how Amend operates I doubt that.
Well,i will take a look there(i have so many recordings of the new songs,so there was no reason for me to go there)
German Sony and Mtv(i think it's the US one,but i'm not sure, maybe the european one)were involved on that.
Greece has Mtv,which was involved on the interviews etc etc,but not on the production.
The tickets were more expensive that were used to be,but it's normal ,since the venue was smaller(i guess seated around 5000 for the first and second show...and the third night around 8000).Somebody said a couple of months ago,the same thing, how can people afford the ticket...i answered the same way,the situation is what it is...BUT,what the hell, people can afford to get AT LEAST one ticket to go and see the Scorpions...now we know i was right, the greeks made the shows sold out and not our international friends.
Being involved with the GSFC,i know a lot of people who bought 3 tickets for the shows...and believe me i have no 'rich'friends....some of them may borrow some money from here and there, some others keep some money apart for the concerts, some other spent some less money on their vacations...and ALL of my friends were there!!!I don't know anybody who wanted to go and couldn't...so maybe your friends were in a terrible sitiation and i'm really sorry about that,or maybe they were not into an acoustic show(by the way,i know a couple of friends who didn't come because of that),so they didn't come.
