I use standard or a half step flat generally (unless a song specifies otehrwise). I occasionally use drop-D for ballads.
I use GHS Boomer strings and Cool picks, particularly the medium weight (black) cat-tongue. Cool makes the best picks! They have grip on them. Whenever I've performed in front of people, I get nervous so the grip helps for sweating hands.

never :)
Since last 3 weeks i am in Eb and i think i'll remain with this. And when you go to a dropped tunning from eb i find it sounds much heavier.

I have a guitar in standard tune. For play with the band i uses drop tune. D/A/D/G/B/E. I likes use too D tune with 6ª dropped too. I uses also Em open tune and A open tune too, this is great for play with slide.

I forgot, about strings i'm not a maniac. I uses often Dean Markley, but i uses too Ernie Ball, or D'angelico. my fav gauge now is 009/46.
Pics, i never uses thin gauge, broken so easy..and i don't like picks brick size either, i uses medium gauge, 0.73 or 0.88. these satin yellow or green Dunlop. I dislikes these gray or black Dunlops, for play artificial harmonics, aren't very good.

btw i think thin picks are the worst ****s ever. i mean they last about 2 days. the first day, the bottom will become round, and the sencond day i realize that i can't make any shi-t with pick so ill throw them. The day i switched to dunlop tortex picks was a great one ... now they last about one week :))))

What do you think the scorpions use for "love em or leave em" or the lower guitar parts...it seems lower than e flat.

thanks

After hearing Unbreakable, it looks that Scorps like to mess around with tunnings :))

I'm not really into alternate tunings...if the scorpions didn't employ them I likely would never touch them.

Do you guys think they are using baritone guitars? or would they use a pitch shifter? I don't believe they use 7 strings.

What are they doing live?

The video shows them playing their usual guitars...
What are you guys thinking?

Any ideas.....
