That was pretty funny. It's sad, though, that stores hire people that don't even know the merchandise that well. One time I was in a store, and I asked to be plugged in, and the guy asked if I wanted a clean or distorted tone. I said distorted, and then he plugged me into an amp without a gain knob. I saidThis one doesn't have distortion." He saidJust turn up the volume knob, that's the distortion." I was thinking, this isn't going to work, but I turned it up, and it inevitabley didn't get very distorted. Finally he got the idea to plug me into an amp with a distortion knob.

Once i went to a really, but i mean really cheap music store. All they had were cheap and ugly 'Mansfield' guitars. the most expensive one was a dean (les paul style). it was around 500$ can. This is just to get an ideea of the store ...

I get in and i pretended to be a newbie who wants to buy his first electric guitar. So the guy began to explain me things about guitars ... and it was funny cause i'd say that he learned his speech from a book and when someone comes in he says the same and the same thing. Now the intresting part comes ...

He was telling me : 'You must be careful when you buy a guitar, cause sometimes it could be of a very poor quality' ! I was like 'hahahahaha thats exactly the same thing you are selling'

another day i went back there with one of my friends, and i asked for some pedals. the guy (he didn't remember me) said : 'Oh yeah, we got very cool stuff here. I'd recomend you to buy this cool danelectro'. Since i knew what danelectro was about (it was their mini-pedals series) i said 'NO thanx, do you have something better?' He said 'Better?But the pros use those pedals. They are good enough'. I told him : 'Yeah, i don't think the pros use this cheap sh\t' He got nervous and said : 'YOu think i'm selling cheap stuff here?' I said : Yeah . he said 'Then go and check other sotres if your not happy with this one. Then i said 'Thats what i'm gonna do baby and ill never come back here ...

since that day i never get back there. it makes me laugh when i think about it. what a bastard. and the danelectro mini pedals were about 89$can. in other stores they are from 55$ to 59$.
