I took a shot at one of my favorite Matthias Jabs solos, "I'm Leaving You." I did the intro as well in another video. It's a work in progress, but I think I'm getting closer...

Yes, I learn the solos by ear. Some take longer than others to figure out, and I don't always get them note for note of course. I try to get them as close as possible, though.

Respect to you man, learning by ear takes a lot of skill and patience. I'm not quite at that skill level yet myself. Also I wouldn't be too concerned about getting them note for note, as it really does sound like you've aced them! (Y)
