About pickups and so on..

I wonder, what kind of pickups use Rudi and Matthias on their guitars? Do Scorpions use only Gibson humbuckers for Flying V and for Explorer or something other?

I was going to say that both had some kind of humbuckers, but they might have been a custom type. Someone else just told me that they are open coils and Alnico V (is that how you spell it?). I guess you'd have to research it.

Thanks. And what about 496R/500T humbuckers? I heard, these are the most power Gibson pick ups.. ;) Don't Scorpions use it?

Yes Elvira, Explorers and Flyings have 490 at neck and 500 T in bridge. Are terrific pick ups. High output, you can give a lot of signal to amps with a 500T. This pick up model have a sharp tone, some ppl dislikes this. My Explorers have these pick ups, but their guitars, maybe have different pick ups.
