No One Like You is on of the easiest. I think that the solos of Uli-era are very hard. Blackout or Bad Boys Running Wild are very hard solos.

well no one like you is pretty hard to be played correctly as well as bad boys running wild. blackout is easy for me (it's the first scorps solo i can do correctly from begining to end at the right speed without sounding sloopy). i think sails of charron is really hard (not the intro) but when the first solo begins then you have to shred and shred and shred ...
but i think you can't really say this solo is hard, this is easy ... it all depends HOW you play them. if you don't have the feel and it sounds sloopy, then something's wrong.

Good points on 'feeling'. And I think it's pretty bold to come out and say Sails of Charon is Easy. Too many guitar players are quick to talk sometimes. It's one thing to think you can play it and to play it properly or in a way that it sounds like the solo. In one of the bands I was in we'd have guitar players trying to do the MAtthias and Uli and Michael Schenker (from the MSG UFO songs we ) solos, and while they would play fast, the solo would sound nothing like what it was supposed to. Would sound more like Van Halen because thats all they learned to play in music schools LOL The biggest part of it comes from feeling and melody. You can play the wrong notes but have the feeling and it will sound closer to the solo than playing fast with no feeling.

I recorded today Sails Of Charon solo....intro....I had my friend whom I was teaching guitar and I came up with the idea....
I brought my small amp and connected his guitar to it and connected mine to the bigger....I started the intro then when the powerchords came I played the first set he played the second I played the third then he continued and I played the solo....it was a great idea but we ****ed up in timing:P

True, you try to stay in the right scale of course and play the right notes, but if you don't have that right feeling and timing it doesn't matter. Majority of bands I have seen do covers and attempt Scorpions or MSG songs, the solos are never right. I think In Trance up in Canada does a great job. Guitar tone is a whole other issue. You can't get a Rudy or MAtthias sound playing a Kramer through a FEnder amp LOL

Just saying that most of the bands that tried to do Scorps covers or MSG covers never really did the solos that sounded right. It's more than just being on the right note, it's the feeling, the vibrato you use, the timing. So it was never a guitar player doing a cover of a Scorpions song, but a cover of Van Halen doing a cover of a Scorpions song LOL
