Hi all...

I just thought I'd let you all know that there is a problem with this website.

Your webmaster has installed a Modification written by me to this snitz forum (SPIDER IDENTIFICATION MOD)

Your webmaster however forgot to change the email addresses in the Modifications code.

The code monitors the website for new users agents and sents an email to the webmaster (if he had of changed the email address) when it encounters a new user agent(browser, search spider, etc)

As he has not changed the email addresses in the code, I am being inundated with emails because he left MY email addresses in there.

We're not just talking a few emails here, we're talking thousands.... hundreds per hour.

On chatting to your webmaster, he decides that I must be lying (I think I know my own modifications emails, dont you?) and has decided basically to ignore me, and be rude.

From a person with a favorite quote of 'How man can see the wisdom in a war?' I find this very suprising.

People like me create Modifications to SNITZ to make sites like this better, and more functional.

As this site is using modifications developed by people who have taken their OWN TIME and hard work to help others, you'd think your webmaster would be keen to resolve this issue.

If he could just trawl his source code on active_users.asp for the string '@webforumz.com', he would find it listed a few times. He could then change this to his own email address, or better yet remove the mail sending part altogether (I'm sure he doesnt want all these emails either)

I have over 15 thousands emails from THIS site, clogging my mailbox....
Thats 15,000 items of SPAM that is unsolicited. Thats 15,000 articles of evidence that have been ignored by your webmaster, and also 15,000 items of eveidence to have this site blacklisted by SPAMCOP, CloudMark, as well as other spam portals. 15,000 items of spam will be seen as ABUSE by this website's hosting company.

Thats 15,000 reasons for me to have this site pulled.

I wont of course take any further action just yet, but as your webmaster is ignoring me, I was hoping to count on this great community to perhaps have a chat with 'webmaster' on my behalf.

I seriously have got better things to do with my time, than to make something like this up.

Anyone who has the knowledge to resolve that ip address will see that that server is the-scorpions.com

I am trying to be fair over all of this, but clearly my internet connection and mailboxes are totally being bogged down... which is somewhat annoying.

PLEASE PLEASE SOMEONE have a word with your webmaster, before I am forced to take further action.

by reading this post i understand now what´s the problem. I never understood before what you have want from me by your contacts via ICQ or Email. I will fix that problem.
