Asunción: In a press conference yesterday the members of the legendary band that was founded in Hannover in 1965, said that they had a bill open with Paraguay because until now they had never visited the country. It had never arisen before because of other tour comitments. However, their Paraguayan fans eagerly awaited them. The Scorpions (Klaus Meine, Rudolf Schenker and Matthias Jabs, James Kottak and Pawel Maciwoda) are planning a city tour and a visit to the Cataratas de Iguazú, that they have only seen in photographs. Today as a German band visiting Paraguay for the first time, they are going to be received honourably by the German ambassador in the country, Dr. Claude Robert Ellner. In answer to the question: "How did they like the women in Paraguay?" They answered: "They are beautiful, all women are beautiful and the Paraguayans we like especially." For the show on Tuesday night, the supporting band "Steinkrug" will be fuelling the nearly 20,000 fans before the Scorpions show at 22.30. Afterwards the "Final Sting Tour" leads them to Brazil.
